My 6-year-old is a Type 1 Diabetic and needs care in order for me to volunteer once a week. My caregiver needs to know or learn more about Type 1 Diabetes. Will have to learn how to give certain foods and learn how to deliver insulin to my child through his medical devices he wears. Count carbs in foods. Learn his medicine and equipment name and locations. My child likes to play play-doh, play games, watch YouTube, likes to color and paint. He is homeschooled so a lot of stuff we do is Kindergarten age. He will wake up, go to the bathroom, brush his teeth, eat breakfast and just plays until I come home.
