Full-time Nanny & Family Assistant, Flexible, Nurturing and Capable Web Job # 10778 Job Date: 12/8/2025 Location: Sausalito, California Schedule: The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and could eventually change to 4 days per week including 1 weekend day for 10 to 12 hours each day. Candidate needs to be flexible to adjust to this schedule if needed. Family needs flexibility for 1 or 2 days per week or staying late or starting early, and occasional overnights and weekends Children: 1 month old Duties: The primary duties include providing nurturing, loving, and developmentally-focused care for the baby, design and lead enrichment activities including reading, music, Montessori-inspired play, and creative arts, support healthy sleep and feeding schedules, organize playdates, classes, and local activities, child's event planning, child's laundry, cooking for child, driving child, child related light housekeeping, purchasing items for child, errands and grocery shopping, setting up travel spaces with baby gear, traveling with the family for 2 months once a year, plus additional shorter trips. The family would like as much help as possible with these additional duties including meal prep, scheduling and supervising vendors, and car maintenance Requirements: This couple recently welcomed their first baby in October and is seeking a professional, humble, and experienced Nanny and Family Assistant who is genuinely interested in forming a long-term partnership in raising their daughter and supporting their growing family in the years ahead. They hope to nurture their child with love, joy, curiosity, and strong values, and are looking for someone who naturally aligns with these principles. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing a mix of childcare and household responsibilities throughout the day, demonstrating initiative, foresight, calmness under pressure, and a grounded yet energetic and creative approach. A growth mindset and being of service to others is important to the family. An interest or background in Montessori, RIE, or Waldorf philosophies is highly valued. A valid driver's license is required, and while they prefer a candidate who can use their own vehicle, they are flexible. The position also requires the ability to travel for extended periods to Santa Barbara, warmly integrate into the family, and collaborate closely with the parents to create a smooth, enriching daily routine. Candidates must be current or willing to become current on vaccinations including flu, Tdap, and MMR.
