The ideal candidate is warm, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent, yet firm in upholding structure and consistency within the child's daily routine. The family's son is on the autism spectrum and supported by a school aide, therapists, and a traditional nanny. This role will work in close partnership with that team and the parents who are highly engaged and hands-on to ensure all developmental, therapeutic, and emotional needs are consistently met across home, school, and travel environments. As the right person settles into the role and develops a trusted rhythm with the family, there will be a natural expansion into broader household oversight, helping to streamline home systems, family logistics, and general household organization in collaboration with the parents and existing staff. Key Responsibilities Partner with parents, therapists, and educational professionals to maintain continuity of care and support for the child. Follow and implement existing individualized care routines, including hygiene, feeding, and homework structure. Recognize moments of frustration or overstimulation, helping the child regulate and return to calm through gentle, effective communication. Ensure all guidelines from occupational, physical, and behavioral therapies are properly integrated into daily life. Coordinate scheduling for therapies, activities, and developmental programs. Oversee travel logistics for both domestic and international trips, maintaining consistency in structure and comfort while traveling. Monitor dietary needs and ensure avoidance of triggering foods. Administer medications as directed. Act as the "bridge" between the parents, nanny, and professional support network to streamline communication and follow-through. Chief of Staff/House Manager: (Long term) Support general household management, ensuring daily operations and systems run smoothly as part of a collaborative team. Ideal Candidate Prior experience working with autistic and/or neurodivergent children is essential. Naturally nurturing and calm under pressure, yet confident in setting clear boundaries and routines. Organized, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs in a high-functioning, fast-moving household. Comfortable communicating with multiple stakeholders with professionalism and discretion. Open to taking on greater household responsibilities over time as trust is built. Must hold a valid passport and be open to frequent national and international travel.
