We are looking for a loving, experienced, and engaging nanny to care for our two boys — a busy and curious 2-year-old and a sweet newborn (who will be about 3–4 months old at the start of the position). Our toddler is extremely active, loves being outside, and thrives on hands-on play and structured engagement throughout the day. We prefer little to no screen time, so we’re looking for someone who can engage in fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities with him throughout the day. A typical day might include playing with open-ended toys, reading books, coloring, going on walks around our neighborhood, or taking trips to the park or zoo. We have several parks nearby and an annual pass to the Birmingham zoo. Our ideal nanny is: - Experienced in caring for both infants and toddlers (multiple years preferred) - College educated and confident in supporting early learning and development - Infant & Toddler CPR certified, with a solid understanding of first aid for these age ranges - Responsible, engaging, and dependable with excellent communication skills - Comfortable around dogs (we have a super sweet female Australian Shepherd) - Non-smoker with reliable transportation Responsibilities include: - Providing attentive, nurturing care for both children Planning daily activities and outings for our toddler - Assisting with feedings, naps, and diaper changes/etc. for our newborn - Light housekeeping related to the children (picking up toys, loading the dishwasher with the kids’ dishes, tidying play areas, etc.) Requirements: - Preferably 3-5+ years of professional childcare or nanny experience - CPR and First Aid certification for infants and toddlers - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - Excellent references (must be provided prior to interview scheduling) If you are a warm, active, and reliable caregiver who feels you'd be a good fit for our family, we'd love to hear from you!
