My son is 5 years old and has level 1 autism, he is very sweet and loves to play and be interacted with constantly, so a strong imagination and ability to do something repetitiously is definitely a necessity. His diagnosis does mean that he is verbal and has pretty good social skills, however, he also struggles with boundaries, changes are very hard for him and he does tend to get violent (hitting and slapping and kicking) we are working with him daily but when he is in a meltdown, he has no reasoning ability and it is difficult to handle him and calm him down. His favorite things are: Spiderman, paw patrol, marvel heros, minecraft and racing games, the park, play place at Burger King, pizza, american cheese slices folded into fourths and juice boxes without the straw and his snackle box.
