Hello! My name is Beth and I am a DCFS licensed family child care provider. I currently have availability for 1-2 children depending on the ages and hours needed. Please know that I plan to keep my ratio low so that I am able to provide high quality individualized care and ensure the safety of each child. My older child attends school full time and therefore I would like to maintain a ratio of no more than 3 children during the school day. The IL DCFS licensing process has strict requirements in place to ensure the home meets very high health and safety standards. My husband and I were also required to have a background check, health exam and to get fingerprinted. I am required to maintain my CPR and First Aid certification and to attend annual training. A little more about me... I am First Aid and CPR certified, a mother of two and I have completed the IL Gateways to Opportunity Early Childhood Education Credit, which focuses on health, safety, nutrition and the development of children from birth through school age. I have also completed the DCFS shaken baby syndrome, SIDS prevention training and a child development screening course. Overall, I have 55 hours of ECE. Besides, formal child care training, I have many years of experience caring for children outside of my own from birth through 9 years old. I am also a member of the 4C, hold a degree in Business Administration and have volunteered for Big Brother/Big Sister. We have a very safe, clean and cozy home. It is a non-smoking and pet-free environment. We have a large fenced-in yard with a nice play area. I have many learning resources that will be incorporated into our weekly schedule. Reading and music are promoted daily. We also have daily calendar time and complete a craft about once per week. My goal is to provide the children in my care with structure, fun, love and security. My rates include healthy meals, snacks that are in accordance with the IL Food Program as well as all craft supplies. References are available upon request. Little Miracles and Milestones is all about your child enjoying themselves in a safe, fun environment. After we have been together for a couple of weeks, we will then try to keep things as consistent as possible so that your child knows what to expect and when. Meals, snacks, and naptimes will be as consistent as possible, working with your childs schedule so that they know what to expect, which fosters trust on the childs' part. You are always welcome to visit at any time. I just ask that you knock on the door instead of ringing the bell so that we don't startle any sleeping children.
