I volunteer in the Hospice / Companionship program and have two patients I visit weekly in the Meadows at Coryell Health. I have a soft spot for seniors and can adapt to whatever makes them most comfortable (silence, conversation, household tasks/chores).
I was the PCA for my beloved grandmother up until the end of her life and it was a blessing and honor. To be able to support her emotionally and physically during that vulnerable time while preserving her dignity I will forever cherish that. I would love to extend that to other families in their time of need.
I worked in an assisted living as a care giver and moved up to a medication aide. I decided to get my CNA, and have been in hospice field ever since. I'm currently working every other weekend & tue/thur with Encompass Rehabilitation. I absolutely love my job.
