Explore the REAL backcountry of Bitterroot Mountains in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness! Along the way, you will learn about the ecology of the Bitterroot, identifying plants animals as you go. Join a hike in July and August for Huckleberry picking! You'll also learn about the local geology and identify a few rocks and minerals too. Delicious snack options like trail mix, beef jerky (vegan available too!), fig bars, fruit leather, and chocolate cookies included! Your guide will also carry a water filter, first aid, Garmin GPS communicator, and other basic necessities like toiletries for an outing in the backcountry.
