Upon entering school, he discovered a love for playing concert percussion and continued to develop his skills, going on to earn a Bachelor's in Music Education from Morehead State University and a Master's in Music Performance from Boston Conservatory. Over the years he has had a wide variety of performing experiences, playing with jazz bands, rock bands, orchestras, chamber groups, marching bands, and drum lines in addition to a multitude of solo performances. Growing up in a family of musicians and teachers, he has a deep-rooted passion for music and helping people grow. He is an enthusiastic and engaging educator that believes all students are capable of learning how to be great musicians-it just takes time and persistence. Drums have brought me more meaning and joy than I could have ever expected when I first starting taking lessons as an 8 year old. After that I started playing in my church's praise band and my high school drumline. Since then I have had the opportunity to play and gig with multiple different bands all over the world. I credit much of that from the gift I have had to learn from various instructors through the years. Now, I want to be that for another kid or adult who wants to learn!
