    Danny's Music Lessons (Guitar)

    by Taylor Robinson Music

    Chicago, IL

Years of Experience: 12 Location Options: In Studio, In Home Travel Radius: 15 Genres: Rock Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons Overview: My name is Danny, I have always been learning an instrument of some sort ever since I was little. My first instrument was the piano, but soon I realized it was not for me. I ended up trying out numerous other instruments such as the clarinet, flute, and drums. Since my brother was learning how to play the bass guitar, it was natural for my mom to suggest the guitar for me. I was about 9 and thankfully, it was the one for me. I have been given lessons but also am self taught. My specialty with the guitar is playing rock or metal music and I am confident to be able to teach it in excellence. Professionaly, I have been in a band in the past and we played in a venue downtown, also I was about 13 at the time. I also have played in churches a few time as well. From the end of November last year, I have joined a local band and started playing shows at a rate of 1 to 2 performances each month. My lesson plan will depend on the student. I will teach very formally and the speed or the progress will be adjusted according to the students playing in order to teach correctly from beginning to finish. For an example, if the student is having a hard time playing a single note, I will not move on to teach a riff or a part of a song that includes chord progressions that might be difficult and frustrating for the student. Also, I will prepare myself as well for each of the lesson accordingly, to ensure a great and effective guitar lesson. I look forward to all my students! :) Best, Danny Formal Education: Many one on one lessons, a few music classes such as aural skills and music theory in school, and plan on minoring in music. Performing Experience: Played a show in downtown Chicago, played in front of hundreds of crowds at church, played in front of guests on holidays in the past. Update: I am in a band now and we play about 1 to 2 shows each month. Experience Teaching: I have taught some of my friends how to play the guitar, and inspired them musically.

Alex's Music Lessons (Guitar, Drum, Bass Guitar, Piano)

    by Taylor Robinson Music

    Chicago, IL

Years of Experience: 15 Location Options: In Studio, In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 5 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country, Acoustic, Christian, RB, Gospel, Pop Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult, Under 6 Years Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons,Bass Guitar Lessons,Drum Lessons,Keyboard and Piano Lessons Overview: Hello, my name is Alex. I started my music journey playing the piano back in 1997. Then, I decided to learn playing guitar as well. The guitar I?ve been playing it since 2001 and have played with a lot of different bands and genres (rock, indie, blues, country, folk, flamenco, classical music). The drums, I learned how to play them when I was in a 4 man band but our drummer moved to a different city. Since I?ve always been able learn songs by ear, playing the drums and coordination from the piano made it easy to learn how to play the drums. I would not consider myself and expert but I can definitely teach you the basics. The hardest song I can play on the drums would be ?Brianstorm? from the Arctic Monkeys. I can definitely teach you basic and intermediate drum beats as well as coordination, but if you?re trying to learn jazzy, off beat, improvisation kind of beats I don?t have much knowledge about that. I have social media where you can see some of my videos. I mainly upload guitar videos since it?s the most portable instrument to carry around when I travel but as I mentioned before, I can definitely teach you how to play the piano (I believe I have a few piano videos on YouTube), bass, and drums as well. TikTok (ex), Instagram (iam_alejandro), and YouTube account (). Hope to meet you soon! Alex Performing Experience: I am a songwriter, guitarist, pianist, drummer, and bassist. I've been playing with different bands for more than 10 years. Experience Teaching: I've also been a Music Teacher for more than 15 years. I give Citizenship naturalization classes and I’ve been doing it for 8 years; I also have worked as a GED Instructor for the El Paso Public Library for 5 years.
