I will say with my method of teaching the student will in fact read ,write and play sheet music. They will play songs that they really like right away and be able to compose their own music on piano, guitar, cconga's and voice. I know every key and how they are created with its sharps, flats and relative minors, augmented, diminished, 6th ,7th, 9th etc. I know what the treble and base clef are and the difference. I know my beats per measure and so will you.
