The tiny rafting town of Big Flat in Trinity county is home to one of California’s premier family friendly, beginner whitewater runs. The Trinity River is a fun, mellow, scenic, and occasionally splashy Class II+ day trip, with some of the best rock jumping, wildlife viewing, and swimming spots in the Western US. This trip is perfect for those looking for half a day spent idylly paddling through down a picturesque river corridor, keeping an eye out for unique wildlife along the way, and taking a dip in the river whenever you would like. The minimum age for this trip is 4. Dogs are welcome, please let us know if you are bringing fido. This trip includes a riverside snack of Chips and Salsa (or hummus) as well as Fruit.
