Led by lifelong local guide and LSU-trained wetland scientist Capt. Albert "Al" Wilson, this small-group eco-tour offers an authentic look at one of Louisiana's most remarkable wetland ecosystems. Quietly paddling through secluded bayous allows you to experience the swamp as few visitors ever do. Along the way, you'll learn about Cajun culture, the natural history of the region, and the ecology that makes these wetlands so unique. Keep an eye out for alligators, turtles, wading birds, owls, bald eagles, nutria and countless other native species in their natural habitat. Tour offers a peaceful and immersive experience with no previous kayaking experience required. All kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and safety equipment are provided, and tandem kayaks are available upon request.
