Designed for both first-time riders and seasoned horse lovers, this guided trail ride takes you through wide-open spaces, with endless photo-worthy views along the way. As your horse gently carries you across rolling hills and meadows, your expert guide will handle the route so you can simply relax, take in the scenery, and soak up the magic of riding beneath Montana’s big sky. This tour is private, fun and casual. It is tailored for your group and your preferences. If you want to sit on the swings and have your photoshoot there and do nothing else, that's fine with me. But I plan to show you (weather will determine the order in which things are done- and we can discuss that while we order our drinks, post adventure. This couple hours is really all about you learning a little bit about this tiny Montana gateway city, seeing the abundance of nature we have in our backyard and taking away some good memories, tastes and if you want to stop and find souvenirs quickly that is fine with me as well. I did not add it but if I can have some souvenirs from the tour for you to take home I will but this is a new tour, and I am really excited to meet you! Your equine experience will take place in our indoor riding arena at Erik’s Ranch. Even in the heart of winter, this covered facility allows for year-round riding and connection with our gentle, well-trained horses.

*Prior riding experience is strongly recommended. Hop into the saddle, take the reins, and traverse the trails of Paradise Valley in true Western fashion atop one of our gentle horses. Follow the lead of our equestrian adventure as we take you to a true hidden gem – Chimney Rock – and enjoy a plethora of beautiful mountain views. Once you arrive, take a break and behold this giant piece of rock that rests at an elevation of 7,650 feet and overlooks three different mountain ranges: the Absaroka, the Bridger and the Gallatin ranges. As we set out for our return, prepare yourself (and your camera) for another opportunity to soak in the stunning scenery that makes our ranch so special. *After meeting staff at Erik’s Ranch, you’ll follow them in your vehicle for a scenic 20-minute drive to the trailhead. The trail itself winds through private land and remote trails rarely seen by the public. A high-clearance, AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended to access the trailhead.
