Did you know that honeybees are responsible for pollinating 2/3 of the food we eat? At our Honeybee Adventure, you will learn about the honeybees vital role on our planet and more! You will be guided by our female beekeeper and honey enthusiast as she tells you all about this fascinating insect and the honey they produce. The sanctuary is situated on a special piece of land in upcountry Maui with an amazing panoramic ocean view. After you learn all about bees, you will put on protective bee suits so that you can view the hives up close while you explore inside a beehive. This is a fascinating and fun adventure for the whole family!

Discover the charm of regenerative agriculture on a 1.5-hour walking tour of Simple Roots Farm, nestled on the slopes of Haleakala. This unique experience showcases dairy cows, sheep, chickens, and vibrant fruit orchards, offering insights into sustainable farming practices. Learn about rotational grazing and observe the farm's mobile chicken shelters as you stroll through the lush landscapes. Birdwatching at Maui Bird House is a dynamic experience for both seasoned birders and beginners alike. Our workshop blends education with the fun of being outdoors. Listen to the beautiful chorus of Maui's birds and see how many birds live amongst the trees at our property. Participants enjoy stunning bi-coastal views views of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands: Lanai, Molokai, Kaho‘olawe and Molokini Crater. Turn around and you will see Haleakala National Park and the observatory. Enjoy delicious organic, farm to table snacks and beverages while you participate in birdwatching from two bird viewing stations. This will be a birdwatching experience you will be sure to enjoy.

We start with a 30 minute hike from our landing zone up the side of Mount Haleakala through Kaonoulu Ranch pasture land to our Echos launch at 4500′ elevation. We hike on a paved road, gain 1000' in elevation, and the instructor & you each carry a 23 pound backpack. A nice bit of morning exercise with better and better views as we get higher and higher on the mountain. Then the reward is a beautiful tandem paraglidiing flight back down to the landing zone. The flight time is approximately 4 minutes.
