Little Angels Daycare

I am seeking 2-3 other children to spend the day with me and my 2 (awesome!) children. Our location is in Pequot Lakes, MN, near Sibly Park (a few blocks off of 371). I have a degree in Child Psychology and have about 20 years of child care experience. I am certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid. I have a basic schedule including circle-time, free play and learning (with themes for each week) set-up depending on the ages of the children. I am looking for toddlers (ages 12 months to 4 years) however, I am more than happy to accept a couple of infants. I have a lot of infant gear at my house. I plan to work on sign language, colors, shapes, alphabet, numbers and use play as a form of learning. Other mediums of learning that will be used are crafts, songs, books (lots of books!!!) and some videos (with specific topics). I am a firm believer that each child is an individual and thus a strict regimen will not be kept. Our day will be arranged around the kids. I do know the attention span of each age of child and I will not force any child to remain seated or participate in an activity for longer than expected for their age. Redirection and "Love and Logic" are the forms of discipline in this house. I will not close due to bad weather or when the school district closes. I understand that parents still need to work even if schools are closed and the weather is bad. I also plan to give one free week for either vacation or sick time for each child in my care. I am not currently licensed however I plan to be in a few months. If this sounds like the way that you work with your children and you are looking for childcare, please send me a message or call me. I look forward to speaking with you!

I have 15 years babysitting experience, two years teaching, and three years as a camp counselor for grades pre k-8. I spent 10 years giving swimming lessons to toddlers and preschoolers, have seven years of lifeguard experience, and one year of nanny experience. I have a bachelor's degree in education from a prestigious school, countless hours of volunteer work with kids and families in nursery, in home care, and babysitting. I love kids and really want to help them grow.
