I am currently employed at a preschool in the Peoria area and wanting to work from home. I currently work in the infant room of 6 weeks to 15 month and have been in that age group for 3 years. However before that I was a sub teacher for 5 years working with children up to the age of 12 years old. I do have a an associates degree in Arts and Science. I do have a soon-to-be 3-year-old daughter and a newborn son. I am converting my unattached garage with full bathroom and kitchen along with a huge play area into a childcare facility with the help of DCFS qualifications. I will plan out lesson plans for your children based on their age and what is expected in a preschool setting. I will have a daily schedule that we will follow that will include am snack, morning circle time, am activity (story and lesson), lunch, nap time, pm snack, as well as pm activity. We will have a morning and afternoon outside time depending on the weather. I have a fenced in backyard with swing set and other play gyms. Depending on how many children are enrolled I will do an occasional field trip to local places for example Tanners Orchard, the town library, and zoo with permission slips and approvals by all parents. I will provide all table food for snacks and lunch as well as drinks (milk, juice and water), if your children do have an allergy I will need assistance with the food. I do ask for parents to supply bottles, baby food, diapers, nap time necessities and extra clothing for their own child. Willing to allow children from the ages of 6 weeks to school age children after school. I am comfortable tending to 4 children during school hours and an additional 2 children after school hours. Depending on the amount of children I can pick children up from their homes in morning and pick them up from school and take them back to my home. I will also be willing to watch children on Friday and Saturday nights twice a month for a "Parents Night Out". I will also have an assistant to help me out if I feel it is necessary all depending on the number of children and their ages.

I love all children and have made a career out of this love since a cooperative education course in high school. I obtained a degree in Child Development in 2007 and continued to work with children while going to school. I have the most amazing job being able to stay home with my kids while educating other young people. Most of my experience is in preschool or day care settings so I run my in home day care the same way, ensuring all children are happy, healthy, and learning while in my care. Mission: Nurturing children and families to provide safe, affordable child care in the rural area to ensure school readiness for all children enrolled, and to have FUN! Curriculum: My expertise is in Creative Curriculum, which is a play based curriculum that identifies goals and objectives to meet Early Learning and Development Standards through play. This allows children to explore their creativity, individuality, and build their self concept while having fun. Meals Provided: I provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. These are well balanced and based on the children's likes, dislikes, and allergies. I serve fresh fruits and vegetables as much as possible.
