I went to college and received my license for home child daycare through Milwaukee requirements. I was a daycare provider licensed for 18 years and took care of 8 children from the age of 6 weeks old to 5 years old. I then had back surgery and dropped my license. I started up again 4 years ago just taking care of 3 to 4 children and I do not need a license for that many children. With the help from my husband we do just fine, I still run my childcare like I did when I was licensed. I am negotiable with the cost of your daycare needs. Hours are also pretty open. I prefer a 45 hour work week if possible. I will supply the children two meals a day and snacks as needed. I expect from the parents diapers, wipes and formula. I will still instill in the children different types of music, ABC's, colors, name, play time, nature walks, etc. I have 10 acres of land and a playground in sun and out of sun. I have cribs for babies, playpens, and small cots for naps. I have over 18 plus years of experience. I had a child who was comatose for 17 years with no voluntary movements. He had a trach and a feeding tube. He passed away in my arms, so I do have a background for any medical problems. The Nestling Place is a 3 star daycare located conveniently between Racine and Kenosha on Sheridan Road. Our center is small and maintains a warm, home-like environment. We encourage children to explore and learn through the environment while providing a structured daily routine and daily lesson plans. We meet the development of all children through assessments, portfolios, and by tracking individual outcomes so that we can prepare lesson plans around the individual needs of the children in our care. The Nestling Place is also partnered with Birth to Three as we share the same building. Birth to Three services the families of children with special needs of Racine County. The center is unique in that we have experienced teachers that work with the therapists on site to provide the best care for children with special needs. We meet the needs of the children through lesson planning, room arrangements, and specialized trainings. Many of our teachers have experience with children with down syndrome, autism, specialized diets, ADHD, and g-tube feedings plus many more. Despite the challenges these children face, we encourage them to be themselves and as we help them grow intellectually, personally, socially, and physically. As a center, we encourage all children to work together and accept each other as they are. The children are encouraged to help one another and work with each other to accomplish different tasks and to play in different team sports. All children and their families were encouraged to participate as we met specific needs to make sure everyone could do so. Normal operating hours are 6am to 6:15pm Monday through Friday. We offer different pay rates and flexible schedule hours to accommodate all schedules, from the two income household to the full time student. We accept both private and 3rd party payments as well.
