We are a fully licensed in home daycare. Both myself and my husband are certified by the state of Pennsylvania. Subsidies are accepted. Our home is a split level. The lower half is completely dedicated to the daycare. We teach our children in a non structured environment so while they are learning, it's fun! We feel that school is important, but so is play and socialization. Therefore our home is more like a play house to make friends, learn patience, good manners, respect toward one another in a family like atmosphere. Because of the difference in ages, our children learn from one another, as well as from my husband and myself. We drop off and pick up school aged children and also work with the parents to send their child to preschool if they desire. Our children are kindergarten ready at the appropriate age. We teach shoe tying, as well as riding a bicycle without training wheels (helmets on of course). We are a very active daycare with many days of going to different playgrounds, having picnics, or going to the zoo, etc. We have a picnic every year where all the children show off their talents. Moms and dads come and everyone gets to see first hand how much like a family we truly are.
