We are proud parents of 8 children and 2 beautiful grandchildren. Mama and Papa Daycare provides high quality child care and education for young children. The key to successful learning experiences is to figure out what interests your child. We help your child develop a love of learning. Active play is at the heart of children's learning. We encourage them to observe, explore, take things apart, build, create, draw, and see what they can find out. Our programs are play-based, emphasizing creativity, cooperation and social development. Our emergent curriculum is inspired and driven by the imaginations of children. My Education: Trained Medical Asst, Registered Nursing Asst, First Aid cert, Shaken Baby Syndrome, 4 years of Early Childhood Education. Our Philosophy: To help each child to become well rounded. We do our best to Teach, Listen, Respect, Understand and most of all be Nurturing. What we do: Play outdoors, learn ABC's and 123's, story time, arts and crafts, computers, music and dance. Breakfast, lunch and all snacks are included. All birthdays are celebrated and made special. Our Prices: Full-Time Daycare Infants: $130 Ages 2-4: $115 Ages 4-6: $110 Preschool: $100 School: $95. Part-Time: $25.00 a day. Drop-In's: $30.00 a day. No notice needed. No appts. Just bring your children for a day of fun! *Sick Care: $10.00 a day.* No late fees if you are running late to pick your child up. I am open 5 a.m. to midnight. At The Learning Center, it is part of our educational mission to provide a foundation for life-long learning. We strive to emphasize this love of learning through a curriculum that focuses on the whole child. It is our goal to provide your children with the best chance of success by getting them ready for kindergarten. School readiness occurs through learning and activities that promote language, pre-reading knowledge, math, social/emotional and physical development. In our preschool classroom, there will be a new theme each week to assist in kindergarten readiness. Each theme will contain a letter of the alphabet, color, number and shape. Structured learning time will be provided each day. This enables in depth learning related to the theme for that week and goals of school readiness. Children will be asked to spend time at various learning stations, that will consist of various activities including reading, art and learning baskets. Learning baskets describes a set of activity baskets from with children may choose. These baskets include tasks to engage the child and help them gain an understanding for a specific letter, number, color or shape. These activities will include, but are not limited to, pre-reading skills such as writing, matching, and letter identification. Fine motor activities will also be provided such as pouring, scooping, or sorting. During this time children will also be able to create art projects as well as time for dramatic play all centering around the theme of the week. Each month parents will be provided a calendar with that weeks theme and activities. The theme will change each week in effort to keep the children interested and having fun while learning.
