Being the oldest of 7 and having 5 children of my own, I have much experience with children. Not only did I sit for others starting at age 14, but I sat for my siblings as well. I babysat 3 children aged 8, 5, & 2 for a year as an adult too. I have many nieces and nephews. I picked up the children from school as well as took one to the doctor and got her medicine. I babysat when they were sick. I like to read. I am patient and treat all children as my own. I attended college but did not finish.

Joelle C. says "Cheryl is a wonderful babysitter. I would hate to call her just a babysitter. She is more than that. Cheryl is very active with my two children. She does...

I taught in private preschools for 5 years. I did my student teaching at a California State Preschool for at risk children. I have B. A. in human development with an emphasis in child guidance. I have owned and operated my own in-game day school for 22 years. I offer preschool curriculum (math, music, art, language, literature and science) in a loving home environment. I am vested in my students and work with them both individually and in groups. Children have fun while they learn and my children leave incredibly well prepared for both kindergarten and the elementary school years that follow. I also work to develop good social skills and tolerance for others while each child builds their own self esteem. I help children to gain control from within. I encourage open communication between myself and my parents so that we may work together to reach the common goal of helping the child develop.

I am a mother of two girls who has cared for children ages newborn to 15 over the years. The girls and I love to spend time outdoors, we enjoy fishing, horseback riding, and soccer. We also love crafting for over 15 years off and on. I have been a caregiver for children of all ages boys and girls full-time, part-time and before/after school care. I enjoy caring for children and feel it is important for them to be in an environment that promotes creativity and learning while having fun. The children I have kept in the past have enjoyed many activities, various arts and crafts, games, outside play weather permitting, and my school age kids have 1 hour of summer study time which involves 30 minutes of reading followed by 30 minutes of a workbook for their grade level. I am big on healthy eating. My morning snack is always a fruit and the child's choice of milk, juice, or water. Lunch is always a sandwich or a homemade hot meal (example macaroni and cheese with chicken and broccoli). The afternoon snack is a choice again fruit, yogurt, or veggies and dip. We will have "Fun Fridays" where we will have cookies or ice cream for our afternoon snack.
