I am a stay at home mother to a fun loving toddler, and I provide full time day care for a small group of toddlers from my home. I want the experience for my son and the other children in my care to be as warm, personal, and loving as possible, so I do not take on large numbers of children. We read stories, play games, dance, go to the park, make crafts, and have outings on occasion. While I am not a pre-school, I do try to help the the children to learn numbers, letters, colors, and other basics through play. I also work with them constently to help the children learn to communicate effectively what they need and want, without feeling they must scream or throw tantrums to be heard.
I am a listed home with the state of Texas, and our son is adopted, so both my husband and I have gone through the very extensive home study process that is required for adoption.
While I have only been running a day care from my home since March of 2012, I have many years of experience with children. I am one of the oldest children in a large family, and assisted with much of the care for younger siblings in my teens. I worked at long term care facility for the mentally disabled for my last two years in high school. And my husband and I have taught a children's Sunday school class together at our church for almost four years.
I am flexible on hours that I am available for care, so even if your work schedule is not the "normal" business days, you are more then welcome to contact me regarding your families needs. I am happy to work with you. I am happy to provide meals for your child(ren) as well.
