Experienced, Loving Nanny

Responds within an hour
My name is Aubrey and I absolutely love caring for and teaching children! My fiancé and I recently moved to Mogadore, Ohio and love our new home in the city! After growing up in a setting where I began working with children, I then became a private nanny to some wonderful families. For the last few years I have had the pleasure of working for an outstanding company as a toddler teacher in a Montessori preschool, and I have spent the past two years as a nanny for one child. I have a total of 6 years of professional experience, with ages ranging from newborn-12 years old. I enjoy playing outside, arts and crafts, reading and creative play. I believe children should have a wide variety of activities available to them throughout the day, and love to include learning into those activities! I look forward to meeting you and your little ones during your search for the perfect care taker for your kiddos!

It is clear to me that working as a nanny is a passion for Aubrey. She was with our family for 2 years, and she kept our girls happy, and safe every day. She loves working with the children, and I see this manifest in her communication skills and creative ideas for activities. She keeps the children occupied and most importantly, safe. Ultimately, Aubrey is an excellent nanny because she is so trustworthy. She is always on-time and held to high responsibility. My family has never known her not to be forthcoming and honest.

Jenna's Village is the perfect place for your child's preschool experience.
About The Owner
Your own personal preschool teacher, at your service! My name is Jenna, my students call me Miss Jenna. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and have been a teacher for early preschool through pre-k for over a decade. I became an Early Childhood Educator because I want to make a positive impact in this world. Children are our future. Molding them early to be compassionate, resilient, kind, and persistent leaders puts them on a path to greatness. That is my goal; to put your child on the path to greatness.
My Philosophy
At Jenna's Village the group size is small. I use positive redirection and believe in the power of praise. I believe that all moments can be teachable moments. And most importantly, I believe children need to feel safe and loved to succeed in their learning environments.
The teacher to child ratio in Ohio Preschools and Daycares for the 3-year-old age group is 1:12; for 4- and 5-year-olds, that ratio is 1:14. Having taught both preschool and pre-k for over a decade in 5-Star Ohio StepUp Rated daycares, I know firsthand how unrealistic that ratio is. At that ratio, it will take two hours a day for the teacher to spend just ten minutes with each child in a preschool room. Ten minutes is not that much time, but in these settings it's almost impossible to do.
A small ratio allows for more interactions between the teacher; interactions that are much more substantial because the teacher can take the time and interact meaningfully with the child. More significantly, it also shows the child that they are worth our time, building that bond between teacher and student.
The preschool environment needs to be one of positivity. It is so important to offer an environment where children are taught and not punished when their behavior seems undesired. I do not turn a child away to time-out when they need help the most. We use breathing exercises to calm our feelings, talk about the problem, strategize what we will do "next" time, and make sure our friends are okay.
Above everything else, your child will feel loved and cared for in this program. I believe the preschool years are such crucial years for a child. A positive experience can really foster their love for learning and give them the confidence and skills they need for success when they arrive to kindergarten!
I look forward to being a positive impact in your child's growth.
