I had my children here one for approximately a year and the other for about 5 months. They charge a LOT of money for what is supposed to be pre-school and getting your child prepped for kindergarten which is what I was looking for when we picked them. However when my son started kindergarten he was far from ready for school in fact he was behind thankfully he had a great teacher who caught him up and helped us by giving us things we could do at home to really help him I. A productive way. If you are struggling to teach your child and are looking for help making sure they are well adjusted and ready for kindergarten this is not the pre-school for's a glorified daycare instead of pre-school. Also they do not follow parental wishes or make notations in their files on when extracurriculars that cost extra have been requested to end. I made the mistake of allowing my son to participate in the fun bus that they work with, when summer started there was an extra fee put up to cover the costs of various activities which took the place of fun bus in our budget since the summer activity fee was mandatory and fun bus was optional. Unbeknownst to me they continued sending him to the fun bus even after I had made my request for him to be taken off of the attendance list to the assistant director and his teacher, fast forward 5 weeks and all of the sudden there is an extra $75+ charge on our account and I asked about it and it was because they continued sending after I requested that he stop going. I went ahead and paid for the fee because the new interim director insisted there was nothing she could do because he has attended, I requested her superiors number to get the problem taken care and she instead of phoning me back spent a week finding "proof" that my son attended the fun bus....I never questioned that he went I was upset that my wishes weren't carried out because they screwed up and then charged me for their mess up. They ended up crediting 50% of the few back to my card but when I made it clear that them charging me for their mistake was only a minor part of my issue and my bigger issue was about the lack of follow through on my decision for him not to attend in the first place and the fact that he could've been hurt doing something that I had withdrawn permission for! I spent the week following playing phone tag with the area supervisor who by the way does not answer her phone even when you immediately call back! The last time she called me she had refunded the remainder of the fee because to her my issue was the money.....which while not right was not my root problem, after listening to her voicemail and calling back within 5 minutes and not having my call answer I gave up on her and attempted to speak with someone who would address my bigger issue about safety and protocols. No one ever returned my calls, I was so disgusted and disappointed with the whole system that I immediately put in our 30 day notice in writing to insure they didn't try to screw us again and pulled my children out! I will never use a La Petite again!
