Along with the other comments, Tykes is non-traditional in the very best of ways. Brian promotes a family atmosphere where kids learn to help one another. Brian and his team have found ways to make learning fun and to nurture creativity in the most unconventional of ways. The kids spend a lot of time outdoors which we LOVE. We have been going to Tykes for almost 10 years and would highly recommend.

There are 6 reviews, now 7. All but 1 rave about this amazing center. Why is it that the only review that shows up for Care.com, when I look up the school on google, is the one that totally trashes the school? This could eliminate a wonderful group of children and parents who would appreciate this amazing place.
TnT was recommended to me when I had my first child. Definitely is not the typical 'big box' daycare. Both my children have made wonderful memories and been exposed to an organic way of thinking that is becoming a rarity for youth nowadays. Brian provides a truly hands-on experience for his group, and allows for independent thinking and action, and allows the kids to 'be kids'. If you are looking for a daycare that beats its own drum, is flexible to your working-parent needs, and offers experiences versus pop-lit pablum, give TNT a try!
Great place for kids to learn. It is so much better than the conventional daycare. Both our kids LOVED it there and still talk about the great memories they had from there.
My son has been coming to Tykes and Tots for years, we love it there! It certainly isn't a cookie cutter type place, but that's what we love about it. There is structure and a curriculum but it's also fluid too, they go with the needs of the children. There is so much that the kids are exposed to so if my son comes home filthy, then I know he's had a great day! I highly recommend Tykes and Tots if you want to let your kids have fun while learning how to be good people.
I love this daycare!!! The people there are wonderful, while it is not your traditional cookie cutter daycare, I could not be happier with them. As a single mother is was important to me to find a daycare that could provide the things in his life that I couldn't, Brian has done that perfectly and all of the workers they're great. Unlike traditional Goddard type schools my son doesn't come home with pink eye or illness every other week. It is located near 4-H Center so he gets all sorts of wonderful outdoor experiences. Working at a pediatrician's office I had seen many daycares panic the slightest hint of a fever, Brian is well-educated in what concerns need to be immediately addressed ( boys will be boys). This daycare is a jem and one of a kind find.

I don't normally post, but the only other review here compelled me to do so. My wife and I value independent thinking and environmental education and are proud to have sent our children here. This operation is certainly non-traditional. The kids will come home dirty, play with frogs, have a working garden, etc. The kids came home tired and excited every day. To speculate, the previous reviewer probably wanted the bragging rights associated with a center with a name. Your child will not learn mandarin. However, Brian has extensive knowledge about early childhood development, curriculum and special needs children. If it really is about the kids, give this place a shot.

Ummm...how these people passed on Care.com is a mystery to me. I went through for a walk-through and found an abyssmal mess. The facilities were old and dity and there were fire hazards waiting to happen. Completely disorganized with no structure. No cirriculum based learning or daily schedule to speak of. The "baby room" had one crib in a disheveled room. It looked like something out of a horror flick. It is beyond me how this guy stays in business or how any parent, after seeing this trainwreck, would enroll their children here.
