My mom is always the last person to ask for help and she likes things done her way. But during a recent visit with my mom, I realized things around the house had started to slip. Due to my own family and work responsibilities, I unfortunately couldn't help as much as I would like... After much discussion, I got my mom to agree to me helping her find some help.
I scheduled 2 agencies for in person meetings with me and mom. Rest at Home was first and both the administrator and the caregiver blew both me and mom away with their professionalism, respect for my mom and compassion. And this is not easy to do for mom as she can be stuck in her ways and opinions.
After the first meeting with Rest At Home, my mom asked me to cancel the other agency and we hired Rest At Home immediately. Both me and mom couldn't be any happier with the decision. Not only does the caregiver assist mom around the house (they love cooking together), but they have great conversations about everything from politics to family......My mom is so much happier now and I thank Rest At Home and Jenn the caregiver...if you are looking for help for a loved one, I recommend Rest At Home!!!!!

Finding a company that delivers what they promise is very difficult. Unfortunately, I've experienced five companies (well known, big commercial companies), all of which over promised and under delivered. I was referred to Rest At Home and was told that Chris (Client Advocate) was compassionate, caring and most importantly trustworthy. I admit, I was skeptical because of my previous experience with the other companies. However, after speaking and meeting with Chris, I felt much better. Chris' approach to my mother and our family was to help with a situation and not to 'sell' us something. For the first 15 minutes, we discussed everything but what he was there for. He took the time to get to know the family and most importantly, my mother. Next was to meet the caregiver.
I wanted to meet with the caregiver, Khaye, before she met with my mother. Khaye was extremely polite and was very patient as I put her through 30 minutes of an interrogation. She answered all the questions honestly and was happy to spend as much time as I required. I knew Khaye was different from the other caregivers we hired over the past year. Five months have passed and Khaye is now part of the family. I couldn't imagine having anyone else take care of my mother.
Chris and Khaye are amazing people and I highly recommend anyone who reads this review to consider Rest At Home as the company to take care of your loved ones.

My situation was a little different. My aunt had moved from the Boston area to NV to be near her sister. After her sister had passed, my aunt needed some extra personal care that I could not provide due to the distance. I got in touch with Rest at Home and arranged for the services my aunt needed, My aunt is thrilled to have this wonderful person involved in her life and the agency keeps me informed of how she is doing. My aunt is able to stay in her own surroundings with the support she gets. I would recommend Rest at home to anyone who needs their services.
