Carolyn B.'s Montessori School

The Carolyn Barron Montessori School is a private, not for profit school serving children from ages 18 months to 14 years. Each classroom community is well prepared with Montessori educational materials and activities, and every teacher and assistant is a certified Montessori guide. Classrooms provide students with choices of activities from within a prescribed range of options. Children can work and learn at their own pace, which allows many of our students to work above their traditional grade level. Each community emphasizes independence, freedom within limits, and respect for the child s natural psychological, physical and social development. All classrooms have age appropriate students/teacher ratios. We incorporate Spanish, Music, and Art instruction during the appropriate work periods.
