We have been open since 1998, and we are a state licensed and state regulated assisted living and we are dementia specific. Each of our homes are licensed for 8 residents. The residential concept is wonderful because it is just a house, and our residents can enjoy helping around the house folding laundry, helping in the kitchen, baking a cake, raking leaves, weeding the garden, (And we do have vegetable gardens, as well as flower gardens!) or anything else they so choose! No matter who they are, or how limitedtheir abilities, everyone still needs to feel needed. We do our best to encourage their participation, or to at least join in, even if they choose to observe. Sometimes residents may not want to participate, and that's okay too! They are the kings and queens of the castle, and we want them to feel like they are &quot;home&quot;! <br/>Our houses are secured. You cannot get out without a key or knowing the code for the key pad. Our back yards are fenced in and locked at all times, so if there are residents that enjoy going outdoors, they can go out in the back yard. Some are very capable, and others need to be assisted by staff. We love getting the residents outdoors if they enjoy that, whenever weather permits! We love to grill out for our lunch or dinner whenever we get the chance to! We do activities such as crafts, reminisce, current events, play games, manicures, pedicures, back rubs, as well as one on ones! Activities are done daily! <br/>There are 2 staff members for day shift, 2 staff for the evening shift, and 1 staff for the overnight. The overnight staff does not sleep! She does food prep for the next day, as it is all home cooking! She does rounds throughout the night to take the residents to the restroom, or does their cares in bed if need be, as we do keep our residents right through hospice. She also does laundry and quiet cleaning. The over night staff enjoy when a resident wanders out into the kitchen at night to have conversation, or share a little snack! <br/> We have many great references, many doctors in the area recommend us, and we have had many doctors place their own loved ones in our care!
