My grandson needs help in Reading. He will be 8 in July and is currently reading on a first reader level (March-June of 1st grade). He is being homeschooled by my daughter. Math is super strong, he loves science and history. In reading, he gets frustrated when he doesnt know a word and gives up. Loves to be read to.

My mom needs to prepare for a test. The Servsafe test is a test for food safety and handling. She has a book and needs to go through the book before her exam. She can speak basic English but you might have to be slow because she is not a native English speaker. We expect the tutor to read the study material with her and ensure that she comprehends the material.

High school and Middle school level English. College degrees majoring in English, or high school teaching degree with focus on English. Need to be fluent in reading/writing/speaking the English language. The student is a 13-year-old girl, in the 7th grade. She is of bicultural background and is currently taking both 7th grade English and English Second Language classes. She can speak fluently, but struggles with sometimes using the correct words, and struggles with reading, grammar, and writing clear concise sentences/paragraphs. We are looking for help with getting her up to where she should be with skills on reading/writing/speaking English language, as well as prep her for 8th grade English. Hands on, exercises, examples. Midlothian family needs a part-time tutor for English, Math. We are likely going to choose virtual-only learning for our first grader for this school year, or at least through the first semester/winter break. The tutor should have experience in lower school/early childhood education and would supervise and assist our first grader's virtual learning during the school year and provide some supplemental educational activities to support his reading/phonics and math. We're not sure yet how many days per week (3-5) or the exact number of hours per day (2-4), but once set they will be the same each week. The tutoring would take place in our home, either in a sanitized learning space or outdoors (when weather permits). We would require the tutor to wear a mask at all times when indoors and to wear one outdoors when social distancing.
