About Zuri

I'd describe my personality as kind, bubbly, and caring. I like working with kids because I love being a positive role model, especially since I have 3 younger siblings. I love showing kids that they can feel safe around me. I started working with kids when I was 14 as a camp counselor during summers in high school. They always felt secure around me, loved to talk to me when they felt down, and talked about achievements they've made. To me, that is important to have in order to build trust and security. One thing you should know about me is that I'm someone that you can 100% feel safe about having around your children. I know that protective parents are very selective about the people they have around, and I respect that. I'm a person who is BIG on respect, trust, and safety. My skills include soft speaking (active listening/empathy/great communication), educational (lesson planning/supporting early learning/homework), and organization (cleaning/following routines).
