I'd give Zulema 3.5 stars. I hired her in a crunch to care for my son as a new single mother fresh in a new home and city. I needed someone who could drive my son to the park. She was hired because she said she drove. But then, once hired, she said she didn't feel comfortable driving my son. First flag. But I was in a last minute crunch. I kept her. She initially said her care would be temporary because she needed to make more money. I understood. She said she might consider working with more than one family and my son. I hoped for the latter because my son liked Zulema after working with her a couple of weeks. She was a bit aloof, backpack on ready to leave as soon as I walked in from work. Getting a report about my son's day was like pulling teeth. But she was always on time, great with him. I knew he was safe, and he enjoyed her company. After about a month or so, she said she'd found something else and was not available for work. Two weeks later, she changed her mind and was available again. I thought this meant she was including me in her multiple family work. But the final time I hired her, at the end of her shift, she said it was her last day and she was going back to school. She complained about the nanny work saying she's an engineer by trade. I understood and wished her well. But the next day, she asked for me to review her nanny work on this app. This request was frustrating. Here she was leaving me (for school I thought), putting me in a stressful bind, but asking for a review so she could work elsewhere with other families. It came across as disingenuous. I think Zulema is good at what she does. My son still asks about her, unfortunately. The day she left for good, without me knowing in advance, she said she'd love to say goodbye to him (like I asked). But she never called to do so. Zulema is desperate for money and will leave if something that pays better comes along. She's a one-time nanny. Maybe an every now and then babysitter. Don't depend on her for consistent long-term work if you're looking for someone reliable that your young child might get attached to... no matter what she says. This is a temporary hustle. Not her career. I'd give Zulema 3 stars for reliable communication. And 4 stars for childcare
