About Zoe

Hi! I'm Zoe, a 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student at UCLA, home in the East Bay for the summer! My college courses give me a very strong, practical understanding of calculus (and other mathematics) and science. I believe in making learning approachable and engaging to spark curiosity. I love breaking intimidating problems into smaller, logical pieces using real-world examples. I have a strong background in English and can support students with their writing skills. I have extensive experience with kids of all ages. I've taught physics to 8th-graders in LA classrooms, worked as a summer camp counselor, and spent time as an adaptive swim instructor for children with disabilities. These roles taught me that everyone learns differently, so I always adapt my style to ensure students feel confident and comfortable. Open communication with families is super important to me so we can work as a team. I'm flexible to meet online, at a library, or your home (and I love pets!).
