Hello Beautiful People! My name is Zekiya. I am a Marriage and Family therapist and I'd describe my personality as playful, quirky, and responsible. I have a multitude of experiences with children. Ever since I was 14 I served as a mentor to children in the Gifted and Talented program in the NYC school system. I also volunteered and worked with at risk youth in the Bronx when I was 17. I also currently watch my 6-year-old and 6month old nieces when I am free. I learn so much from them just like the learns from me. Additionally, I have experience with children in my therapeutic practice where we build skills, play and grow. I enjoy working with children because they represent the good and genuine in the world. They treat us and teach us as if they were the ones who know how to navigate life. I'm looking for a job that I can create an actual bond with the child(ren) and help them in their growth in a very intriguing world.
