I have a my bachelors in elementary education with a minor in special education. I have personal experience being a caretaker of a nonverbal sibling with exceptional needs. I have professional experience as a third grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, before school & after school care, have worked at a daycare with children 3months to 6 years old, and have 6 years experiences as a summertime nanny. I believe there is no such thing as a "bad kid", just a child with unmet needs. I think all children have the ability to succeed when given proper supports and access to resources, it's just up to us educators to help them bridge the gaps.
