About Zakiya

I'm passionate about unlocking every student's potential through personalized support. For the past three years, I've helped elementary and middle school students thrive in English, test preparation, computers, and study skills. I hold a graduate degree and adapt my teaching with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. Regular check-ins with parents help me understand student needs and reinforce learning at home. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, building momentum and encouraging curiosity. Witnessing those "aha!" moments is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I would love to help your student build confidence and a love for learning!
