I spent 3 years as a caregiver for a lady who was wheelchair bound and had dementia. I cooked and fed her and made sure she was drinking. I did crossword puzzles with her and tried to help her exercise her arms and legs as much as possible in a wheelchair. I kept her nails cut and her toenails polished. Moisturized her face, legs, and arms. Tried to do the womanly things that her son wasn't used to doing. I currently help a 94-year-old lady with her shower by just being there to make sure she doesn't fall as well as washing her hair and back. I always try to make older people know they are still valuable and not feel like a burden.
