I have experience with special needs children as a caregiver and a counselor. My first full-time babysitting position was at the age of 13, where I cared for an 8-year-old autistic child. Recently, I served as a pivotal response training coach, conducting weekly home visits, teaching verbal and communication skills using play-based methods to autistic children. As a counselor I collaborated with parents in designing appropriate therapeutic approaches. These approaches promoted self-efficacy among parents' abilities to interact effectively with their child, increasing language acquisition. In result, the children improved pro-social communication and interaction skills. I currently obtain a master's degree in social justice and human rights. I love children and take pride in contributing to their developmental growth.
