About Yakima

I started as a home health aide for a lady at my church. During that time I went under a company and took care of 2-3 people. I stopped after 2 years to go to school. Years later, I worked at a nursing facility, received my CNA license, and became a nanny. I grew up basically my whole life in this setting because of my mother so I saw and helped a lot. When I started to grow up I could help do more. Staff showed me how to use proper body mechanics to help if someone falls, nthey need help feeding, attend activities, and other things to do without violating HIPPA. Once I started a job in a nursing facility... It was frustrating answering call lights and not be able to do anything to help except tell the aide or nurse. So I earned my license and could help more. I prefer to have more one on one because I want them to be heard and give proper care.
