My name is Xiomara but the kids call me Mara and I love working with children. I started working with children since I was 17 years old. I am from South America ; Ecuador. I am fluent in Spanish and English, I also know a little bit of sign language. I used to babysit for family friends and near by neighbors. I was also a math tutor working with middle school and High school kids for two years. I was head teacher for an after school program for elementary school children where my job was to make sure children completed their homework and assist in any area they needed help in. I exposed myself to work with all ages and began working for local daycare with children 3mo- 5yrs for two years. When working with children you learn something new everyday and teach something new everyday. I believe children best learn in the form of play.
