About Whitney

Sonia came to her shift today 30 minutes late. She agreed to work 3:00-8:30 twice a week. She told me clearly that she cannot guarantee she will be on time to greet my daughter with disabilities from her program. Sonia said her other job requires her to wait for the next person on shift to arrive before she leaves. It is alarming that she felt justified in "being late" and not dependable to greet my daughter. Sonia told me it "isn't going to work out" because she told me at 2:20 today she was going to be late for the 3:00 shift. Meanwhile, I scrambled to rush home because not having someone to bring my daugther with disabilities inside isn't an option. Sonia seemed to have credentials--but she isn't dependable. She said she stopped home to change her clothes too--because she knew other people would rush over to cover her shift. I assumed she just didn't understand the importance of being dependable--but she explained that jobs need to factor in people being late. This account is under the name "Whitney"--she said this is her mother's name/account.
