About Whitney

Hello! I am Whitney, a Certified Child Life Specialist. As such, I have a background in child development and have spent many years working with children in various settings. Some of my favorite have been in hospitals when I have helped children understand and cope with their medical experiences. I'm a firm believer that play is the work of children, it's how they learn, process, and communicate. I especially enjoy taking care of infants and paying attention to their subtle cues. I worked in a NICU where I led developmental play sessions with babies to encourage them to meet milestones. In my free time, I love eating out at restaurants, being in nature, going to the farmer's market, baking, and spending time with my wife. I'd describe my personality as fun, calm, and kind.
