About Whitney

I'd describe my personality as determined, passionate & enthusiastic. As a former general education teacher in MA, I'd love the opportunity to do something I'm passionate about outside of my typical workday. I began my teaching career in Worcester Public Schools in MA in 2014. I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th (my favorite), 5th and 6th grade. Additionally, I worked as an academic coordinator after achieving my masters in Curriculum & Instruction. I have a passion for neuropsychology and spent much of time teaching career working with kids impacted by trauma to provide academic intervention. In my spare time, I like to be active! I'm very fitness and health focused. One thing you should know about me is that I'm an outside-of-the box thinker. Most often, students in need of additional support with school are not receiving instruction in a format that makes sense to them. A tutor provides an opportunity to analyze current methods that aren't working and find something that does.
