About Whitney

Hello, my name is Whitney, I am a certified family and consumer science (home economics) teacher with over 8 years of experience in teaching and a lifetime of working with kids of all ages. I love working with children and helping them learn new skills and have fun while we learn. As a teacher, I have taught subjects such as cooking, baking, sewing, nutrition, budgeting, and household management. I can help your children with their homework, prepare healthy meals and snacks, and engage them in creative and educational activities. I can also help with light housekeeping. In addition to my professional experience with kids, I'm the favorite Auntie to my nieces and nephews as well as my friends kids. I love imaginary play and asking questions to stimulate meaningful conversation with kids I interact with. In my spare time I like to crochet, listen to audiobooks, spend time with friends and family, and I recently finished a masters degree in institutional design and technology.
