Hello! My name is Whitney. I graduated from Dordt University with majors in elementary education (K-5) and special education (K-12) with endorsements in reading and coaching. This past school year I taught 2nd grade at Sioux Center Christian and I also am a certified behavioral technician and have worked in multiple ABA centers with kids with autism. I have a love for children, and have worked with them in various aspects since I was in6th grade. One thing I have loved about teaching is that I am able to work with and build meaningful relationships with the kids I work with, but I am also able to help them grow and learn. I love being able to help students make meaningful connections between their learning and everyday life. I have learned that these connections are what help learning stick with students long term.
