About Wendy
Experience: 10 yrs
Hi! I'm an experienced elementary educator with over 16 years of teaching experience and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I've taught multiple elementary grade levels and also have experience providing Tier 3 reading intervention for students who need additional, individualized support. I offer one-on-one tutoring for elementary students in reading, literacy, foundational skills, homework support, and general academics. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each child's individual needs and learning style. I especially enjoy helping children build confidence and experience those moments when something that once felt difficult finally clicks. I'm currently accepting a limited number of K-5 students for private tutoring in the Fountain Hills area. I'd love to learn about your child and how I can help!
Most recent review
Wendy tutored my nephew M. who sometimes has difficulty focusing. She was able to connect with him, understand his learning style and help him help himself. She understands the concept of learning and that allows her to adapt to any student. She tops this off with a kind and gentle approach that allows student to feel safe.
