About Wendy

I enjoy the company of kids, animals and old people. They are honest and have the best stories. I am a 51-year-old happily married kid at heart. I have a 19 yr old son and a menagerie of pets, I have lots of experience caring for people of all ages and disabilities. I cared for my Grandmother for the last 5 yrs of her life. She had ALS. I also cared for my disabled Mom until she passed July of 2022. I am experienced with using a hoyer lift, transfers, meals & medication management as well as good conversation. I enjoy crafting, cooking, going on outings, junkin at flea markets and yard sales, couponing and traveling. I am soft spoken and caring but can be firm when needed. I have worked in the mental health field for roughly 5 yrs, child care for over 10yrs and have volunteered with Hospice and the Arts & Medicine Program at Shand's Hospital. I am an open book.
