About Wendy

After 30 years as an educator, I retired from the classroom--but I never retired from loving to learn. My favorite part of teaching has always been helping students discover that learning can be interesting, creative, and even fun. Every student learns differently, and I enjoy finding the approach that helps each person build confidence and succeed. I have extensive experience in all levels of both general and special education and especially enjoy working with students who benefit from thinking outside the box. Whether a student needs extra patience, creative strategies, organizational support, or simply someone who believes in them, I strive to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where they can thrive. I welcome students of all ages, including nontraditional learners, homeschool families, adult learners, and individuals with learning differences. A few of my favorites areas include adapted curriculum, writing instruction, and enrichment activities.
