I am a retired teacher of 34 years. My background is adapted physical education, and I have an administrative license and director of special education license. I have worked in a variety of school settings, including a self-contained school for students with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have spent the last couple years, post retirement, working for a nonprofit for adults with IDD. I provide all of their programming which includes at least 30 events a month. I also work for a family providing respite care for their daughter who is autistic and has down syndrome. I have realized that I love this personal care and want to pursue some other opportunities.
