Wendy has been nannying for our family for close to 3 years and we are sad to let her go. Our family work situation is changing, or else we'd prefer to have her forever. Wendy began working with us when my older daughter was about 15 months old and since the day our younger one was born. They are now 2 and 4 years old. Wendy's approach with our children is loving, empathetic, and empowering. She cares for them as if they were her own. It was clear from day one that she takes her profession seriously and understands the critically important role she is playing in their development. She is always kind and gentle, but also helps to hold loving boundaries in teaching moments. Wendy has been wonderful at every age with our girls. She has cared for them in the range of newborn-4 years old. With an infant, she attended to our younger daughter's every need with grace. She has even done a fantastic job of caring for an infant while also having a toddler to manage. As the girls have gotten older, Wendy helps our girls to live a fulfilling childhood. She reads with them daily, plays with whatever toys they desire (or she proposes), spends time outside with them whenever the weather permits, takes them to story readings, museums, and the library. Wendy is an artist herself and enjoys crafting with the girls, as well. In addition to the amazing care Wendy takes of our children, she has been a fantastic partner, with superb communication. She is prompt in her arrival, and willing to be flexible when our family has needed it. She has taken minimal time off during our years together, only for time that was planned well in advance, or a true emergency situation. We have given her several weeks off per year around our schedule and she's been willing to accommodate her vacation time with ours to the best of her ability. Additionally, Wendy always checks in with me about activities she wants to do with the girls outside of her home (we've given her free reign to entertain and care for the girls within our home), and she has great ideas for all of the above. We have a large dog and a cat, Wendy is comfortable and sweet with both. I honestly can't recommend Wendy enough. If you are looking for someone to care for your children with love, be a great communicator, always prompt, flexible with your families needs, then she's your gal. You will be lucky to have her!
