About Wendy

I am a retired Maternal Child Health Nurse and recently moved to Atlanta to be near my daughter and help her care for her newborn. Now that my grandson is older, I am looking for a permanent childcare position. The skills required as a nurse include patience, compassion, effective communication, kindness, time management, and organization, all skills required when caring for children. I worked as a babysitter when I was a teen and used to help my aunt who had 7 children, with cleaning, ironing, and childcare. I raised my daughter and maintained the care of my home. I have my own transportation and my insurance provider has listed me as an excellent driver. I don't have my own pets but am fond of my families pets and have pet sit for them on occasion. I am reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and flexible. I will respect your home and your guidelines. I will provide structure while engaging with your children, and meet their needs with kindness, consistency, and thoughtfulness.
